Maintenance Fitter | FMCG Manufacturing | $50/hr + Overtime

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well established FMCG manufacturer. This is a temp to perm opportunity offering long term career prospects, excellent earning potential and plenty of overtime, with employees regularly working between 50 and 58 hours per week.

This role would suit a tradesperson looking to prove themselves in a high performing maintenance team before transitioning into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance across production and packaging equipment
• Fault find and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and project work
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise plant performance
• Complete maintenance documentation and reporting as required
• Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and quality

About You

• Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Previous FMCG experience is essential
• Experience within food manufacturing, packaging or pharmaceutical environments is essential
• Strong fault finding and breakdown maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
• Exposure to high speed production and packaging equipment
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
• Full Australian working rights
